Ameenpur is a suburb located in North-West Hyderabad near the Outer Ring Road (ORR) close to other suburbs such as Patancheru, RC Puram and BHEL on one side and Miyapur, Bachupally, Mallampet and Chandanagar on the other. It falls under Sanga Reddy district.
Recently, the government has decided to make this suburb into a separate municipality instead of merging it into Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
This locality has grown in popularity among middle-class home buyers working in surrounding industrial and other establishments near Patancheru and Ramachandrapuram areas. Ameenpur is suitable for middle-class buyers who are looking for new affordable housing projects near the ORR (Outer Ring Road).
The suburb lacks rail connectivity, but has good road connectivity with good number of city buses reaching interiors of Hyderabad. One can reach Ameenpur from Chandanagar, BHEL Township and also through Patancheru. The suburb doesn’t have direct connectivity from ORR but is 7 Km away from the nearest ORR toll booth.
The locality is also known for its manmade lake called Ameenpur Cheruvu. The lake is surrounded by undulating terrain with rocky outcrops and rocky formations. The lake lies in the midst of an urban sprawl, surrounded by factories, villages, and modern apartments.
Presently, the locality has four apartment projects and a single villa project. Apartments in the area range between Rs 4000 – 4800 per sq ft while villas range between Rs 6000 – 9000+ per sq ft.
